The point is surely that the app should behave like standard Gem as installed,
and any such changes should be made as the user sees fit. In other words
installation is simple and configuration is as involved as the user requires.
Some of these things should be global though, such point to type/click to type
settings.

Good luck. That is very difficult to do without an MMU. Well, difficult
to do EFFICIENTLY.
